♠️ My Story — Betting on Myself

My name is Naceim (Na-Seem), and I've always believed in betting on myself — win or lose, that's where the lessons live.

I fell in love with cards before I even understood them. As a kid, I spent hours flipping decks, playing rummy, solitaire, and war, just to feel the rhythm of the shuffle. Atlantic City became our second home, where my mom and uncles taught me more than poker — they taught me the game of life. How to hustle, sell, take risks, and embrace the lessons that only come from experience. I learned that consistency, discipline, and drive can turn chaos into purpose. The strategy, the patience, the psychology, the risk — poker has a rhythm, and once it's in you, it never leaves.

FROM BUSINESS OWNER TO POKER PLAYER

Before poker became my full-time pursuit, I spent over a decade building Optimum Pool Service, Inc., a swimming pool and spa company I founded and ran in New York. It was my pride and livelihood — years of early mornings and long days turning customers into relationships. Building that business from scratch taught me commitment, patience, and how to perform under pressure — lessons that translate perfectly to the felt.

When I eventually sold the company, I wasn't running from work — I was chasing freedom. I moved west to rebuild life on my own terms, grinding low stakes, studying, and learning to start over. There were times I lost everything, but the passion never faded. I learned to embrace the swings, stay disciplined, and trust the long game.

WHERE I AM TODAY

Today, I'm based in Las Vegas, working my way up through tournaments and cash games, with the goal of competing full-time at the highest levels — including the World Series of Poker.

I've earned over $110,000 in live tournament cashes, with $56,000 this year alone. Every dollar represents a lesson: patience, resilience, and the courage to keep showing up.

But poker has never been just about money or fame for me. It's about integrity, community, and impact.

GIVING BACK: AFFIRMATIVE ACTION

That's why I created Affirmative Action, a poker lifestyle brand built to give back. Each design is inspired by time on the felt — The fun, the heartbreaks, the bluffs, the wins, and the discipline it takes to keep grinding.

50% of all profits go directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization I've supported for years. After every podium finish, I donate to St. Jude's as a reminder that true success is about contribution, not accumulation.

STILL BUILDING: MY OTHER VENTURES

I'm still an entrepreneur at heart.

SubscriptionSites.online — I founded this to help small business owners get online and implement Ai powered tools with Professional websites and Web Apps, simple subscriptions, and no heavy upfront costs.

LearnMyPool.com — An AI-powered app that helps pool and spa owners take control of maintenance and care.

Both ventures — poker and business — are extensions of the same mission: to build, create, and give back.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Poker taught me patience.
Business taught me discipline.
Life taught me that the real gamble is committing to the grind.

This is my story — one built on second chances, self-belief, and the pursuit of something bigger than myself.
